The Bills Mafia have raised and donated more than $400,000 to the preferred charity of a quarterback from another team. The term “mafia” may be a term used for criminal syndicates, however the Bills Mafia is a fan-based group of an American Football Team.
Created in 2010 by Del Reid to unite the team’s worldwide fanbase, the Bills Mafia donated the money to the Louisville Chapter of Blessings, which is the charity of choice of Lamar Jackson, the quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens. The Bills fans did this in order to give back to the loss of the Ravens against the Bills which helped advance the Bills to the AFC Championship in the league.
The donations started coming in with eight dollars per donation from the Bills Mafia in order to commemorate the Quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens whose number is eight. After reaching more than $ 400,000 worth of donations, the quarterback thanked the Bills Mafia for their effort. Not only did the donation drive represent the generosity of the fan group, but it also represents the generosity of Buffalo state citizens. The efforts done by the Bills Mafia has greatly helped the children who benefit from the foundation.
The Bills Mafia isn’t just all about supporting the Buffalo Bills, but is also about helping the community. The $ 400, 000 is a lot for a donation, but it’s true that this won’t be the last donation of the Bills Mafia. In the end, the Bills Mafia is for the Buffalo Bills and for the community.
