On November 9, 2023, the SISC Student Council organized a belated Halloween celebration complete with engaging costume activities for students.
A mufti day was implemented to encourage students to wear their favorite Halloween costumes. Participants enthusiastically showcased their creative costumes inspired by their favorite books, personalities, movies, shows, and many more throughout the event
The Student Council surprised the students with a trick-or-trick riddle for a chance to receive special treats. Students had to figure out a place on the campus that the riddle hinted at. It read, “I’m a room where the [Student Council] convene. A place where decisions are often seen. When the craving for sweets starts to flow. Give me a tap, and I’ll let you know.” With the correct answer being the Student Council Office, students who successfully unraveled the riddle were given candies as a reward.
The biggest highlight of the celebration was the costume competition held at Monarch’s Park, where nine students participated, each presenting their creative costumes in line with the theme.
The competition was opened by Julia Devaras and Trillian Galicia, the hosts of the afternoon competition. The floor was then given to the participating students to display their unique costumes that captivated the audience. In addition to that, the participants introduced themselves and exhibited some of their individual talents.
After the tabulation of scores, Julia Castro, dressed as Ayaka, emerged as the winner of the costume competition. Samantha Mendoza, portraying Gojo, secured second place, while Malvar Abedin, as Smurf Cat, claimed the third spot on the podium.
The day concluded with a successful Halloween celebration for all the students on campus, marked by creativity, camaraderie, and a festive spirit.
